This cache was hidden right off Israel National Trail, under highway #2 (Coastal Road).
I like these passages which connect a hiking trail with an extreme sign of civilization such as one of the busiest highways in Israel.
This path under the highway connect Netanya beaches to Poleg natural reserve.
The trail north of here goes along Poleg creek and near dunes, but then near construction sites along the beach, which is not very nice. Eventually the trail leads to the Iris natural reserve.
Continuing south from this point, the trail goes up on the kurkar ridge to "Poleg Gate" and continues through orchards to Yakum. At the entrance to Yakum there are places to eat and drink, public transportation, and a new pedestrian bridge.
September 13th 2023 update: it seems after hiding and before the finds, the trail mark was painted new, and a fence was added. Reports are there is no problem reaching cache through fence.
