This geocache "Cygnus: The Swan of the Night Skies" is named after the constellation in the northern sky. Cygnus is derived from the Latin word for swan. The street above the nearby overpass is also named Cygnus and you will notice adjacent streets are named after constellations. This will be the first of four of our constellation series placed in 2023 & 2024.
Located at a pedestrian bridge near one of the Rockingham Park Underpasses. These underpasses were designed by Paul Ritter and built in the 1960s. This nearby underpass has an ocean life mural under Cygnus Street; between Hydra Close and Indus Close.
The geocache is located at the pedestrian bridge. It is larger than a film canister but smaller than a sandwich box.
