Geocache Description:

Welcome to Dumont Lake County ParK.  Stop in for a quick Geocache but don't miss this hidden gem of a quiet park that attracts visitors from all over west Michigan.   Here you will find a playground for kids, designated swimming area, a picnic pavilion, picnic tables, outdoor grills, modern bathrooms, and a creek running into the lake. The park itself is 18.6 acres in size and has 550 feet of frontage on Dumont Lake, which is 215 acres.  Summer park hours are May through September from 7 am to 9:30 pm, and winter park hours are October through April from 8 am to 8 pm.

Enjoy this fantastic refuge away from the world, relax, play, watch the wild life and enjoy the lake in your favorite watercraft.  Large boats can be launched at the ramp on the opposite side of the lake, and small ones can use shore entry here.  A variety of fishing opportunties await you in the shallow shoals or in the depths up to 50 feet deep.

The container is a small, placed above the ground level so it should be available in the winter.  God bless and enjoy your time here.

Note: Permission to place this geocache on the park property was obtained in August of 2019 from the Allegan County Parks Department but we didn't hide it until a visit during the summer of 2023.
