Puzzling Geocaches

When I first started caching, I thought that puzzle caches were just for the intelligent people. I was always so frustrated, not understanding where to start or what the cache owner is thinking when they made the puzzle.

But I now know better...

If you want a puzzle cache smiley, it is very important that you be persistent in your search for the solution by carefully reviewing all that is written or shown within the page. More often, one must search the Internet for tools to unscramble letters, solve sudoku puzzles, etcetera, in order to find various types of solutions. You will learn lots. Earning solutions to puzzles can be annoying, but it can also be extremely rewarding.

With some puzzles the solution jumps right out. The main ingredient required to solve almost all puzzle caches however, is persistence. Explore each breadcrumb that you find on the page, it is how you learn something that could be useful for the next puzzle. Remember, learning IS fun! 😊

One must diligently investigate the puzzle’s underlying themes, the cache title, pictures/graphics, or something gleaned out of the grammatical story itself, while eliminating the red herring distractions littered throughout. Ultimately the solution and/or coordinates to this puzzle cache can be obtained from what is shown or written here.

What is most enjoyable about puzzle caches is the self-satisfaction one derives from seeing, “Congratulations, you solved the puzzle.”

In the end, which is not key to finding the solution, is the search for the container and this should be what we all want, to get the smiley!
