This is an Adventure Lab bonus cache for the Ad Lab "Hayley Wood - Exploration of an Ancient Woodland".

Hayley Wood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and owned by the Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs and Northants. It is a mixture of standard trees (with a single trunk with branches above head height) and coppiced trees (occasionally cut back to the ground to encourage new shoots). Many of the oak trees date from the 16th and 17th century. The Varsity railway line between Oxford and Cambridge ran alongside the northern edge of the wood from 1863 to 1969 and its trackbed can still be seen today.
