Residents approved. Family approved.
Wasleys methodist church, now a private residence. Home to my family. The end point of all of my rides up here and the end of the trail, or maybe the start? Too hard to tell. You would not believe the effort that has gone into renovating this place! The whole journey of this cache series and the renovations of this house (that both started around the same time) could be an episode of Grand Designs in itself. The foundation stone of the present church building was laid in 1916 by George. W. Kendrew. At one stage it was even jointly used by Methodists and Catholics.
Now home to my family, if you see anyone milling around, come and say hi! They'll be more than happy to tell you the history of the church.
Its goodbye to the Meat Trail, but maybe hello. Are you just starting? I started this trail back in 2016, and now 7 years later its all done. I've stretched myself thin with far too many caches, a couple being archived, and a loss of passion for Caching, but its been revitalised a bit recently, mostly thanks to Aussiegall88 who really encouraged me to finish it off, and we busted it out all in one day!
