About the area: Thousands of admirers of Laura Ingalls Wilder and her Little House books visit this historical museum each year. If you have ever read the books or watched the TV show, this museum is a must see!
The museum is well put together and loaded with interesting history, artifacts, pictures and timelines of the Ingalls family lives and their moves. The exhibits are well done and the staff is very helpful. The gift shop is loaded with pioneer treasures, apparel, books, postcards and much more!
While you are in the area, be sure to drive out to the Little House Wayside - the site of Laura’s birth. It’s located seven miles northwest of the Village of Pepin, Wisconsin on Pepin County Road CC.
