I was originally going to call this cache something else but after I hid the cache, on the way back to the car I forgot to duck under one of the low branches covering the trail and sliced a small gash on the top of my head. Scalps tend to bleed quite a bit so by the time I made it back to my car it was dripping pretty good.
Hey! Maybe I can be a Bloody Rhino for Halloween!
I have added coordinates for the entrance to the trail that is the easiest way to get to the cache. But because of the tree branch and the slight elevation change I have upped the terrain rating by a half of a point.
Besides my bloody experience in hiding this cache there are 2 other reasons for naming this one Blood Brothers.
I have another cache in this park called BRUUUUUUUUUCE! as a tribute to Bruce Springsteen. One of his very best songs in my opinion is called Blood Brothers. It is very clearly written as a tribute to the rest of the members of his E Street Band.
The other reason for naming this one Blood Brothers is because coming to this park reminds me of all the softball games I played here in the Eastlake Sunday Morning League. My brother, Tim was on my team and we unfortunately lost Tim to cancer last year way too soon.
Tim was definitely my best friend my entire life and I think of him and miss him every day. And he will always be my Blood Brother.
