JK186 started caching just a short time ago and has been really making their mark in the geocaching world. Following their trademark slogan "That sounds like a terrible idea, What time?", the JK186 team has reached the 8,000 find mark quickly. Instead of the trditional golden ammo can, this "Golden Oak" stained cache has been placed as a tribute to their accomplishments.
The physical cache itself has been inspired by the famous West Virginia gadget cacher WVTim, any similarity is intentional. Hopefully it will provide a fun experience!Â
To claim the find for this cache you will need to do the following:
1 - To get the inital combine lock code - What year did JK186 start geocaching?
2 - bring good 4 AA batteries - this is IMPORTANT - no "I forgot the batteries" excuses accepted!
3 - Carefully insert batteries - some lights will come on if you have done it correctly. Note - remember you are requested to bring 4 to insure a good experience.
4 - Have fun searching for the solultion of the on-site puzzle to get a second combination code (hint - see #2, you must need them for something!)
5 - Open the locked inner compartment.
6 - Inside you will find what you need to release the log.
7 - Release the log - BRING A PEN - No "I forgot my pen" excuses!
5 - Return the log to where it came from
6 - Relock all locks! (to relock locks push in hasp and THEN scramble numbers)
NOTE - special tool required is supplied in locked compartment, please return it there! Also - No trade items!
Cache should be available year-round, however, for your safety please seek during daylight hours.
