Geocache Description:

The cache is at the posted coordinates, but it is a "Challenge Cache" which means you need to meet the qualifying criteria to log it as found.

If you are not familiar with Challenge Caches you can read about them here.

If you do not yet qualify you are welcome to find the cache, sign the log, and log a "note" online.

There is nothing I enjoy more than going to a new country and finding geocaches there.

I have seen and found some challenge caches of the type "Find X different Icons in X different countries", which I have enjoyed.    I have decided to do something similar but also a bit different.    For this challenge, you need to have found a total of 50 different Icon/country combinations.    For example, if you have found 5 cache types in each of 10 countries, that would give you 50 total Icon/Country combinations.    You can use any combination of the number of countries and the number of icons, so for example finding a single cache type in each of 50 countries will also qualify.   In the context of this challenge, "icons" and "cache types" mean the same thing, e.g.  Traditional, Multicache, Mystery, Virtual, etc.  Please note that Adventure Labs do not count for this challenge (as they do not have a country attribute so the checker won't see them).

As of the publication date, I qualify with 139 combinations.     Like most I expect, I have some countries with a lot of icons (I have 14 in the USA and 13 in the UK) whilst there are 7 countries where I have found only a single type.    I know that in some countries it is difficult (or impossible) to find lots of icons, which is why I designed this challenge such that all countries contribute - even if you have only found a single type.

Note that this challenge uses the geocaching.com definition of countries.

I will confirm your qualification with the checker (below) when the cache is logged as found. No further documentation is required from you.

I recommend that you use the challenge checker (below) to verify if you qualify to find this cache before logging as found.

There are 3 different levels of achievement each with a challenge cache:

You will see that Silver and Bronze are in a similar area, and share suggested parking.    Gold is on the other side of Bath.

A note on the SWAG:   At the time of hiding the cache is stocked with themed SWAG.  I know the general rule is you should leave something if you take something, but due to the difficulty of this challenge I "authorize" you to take something without needing to leave something (if you qualify and are logging as found).

Note on Parking:   The waypoint provided is where I parked, and it's a nice walk from here, passing a couple of little bridges on the way.  If you are more adventurous with your parking you may be able to park closer.

Thanks to Amberel for awarding this series of challenges an Amberel Top Cache award!
