Taking the initiative, I'm proud to introduce the Tai Kok Tsui Series. This district, which bridges the dynamic areas of Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, and Yau Ma Tei, has a compelling history. Once a pier, its reclaimed lands now bustle with residential life. As geocachers explore this series, they'll traverse an area that beautifully interweaves its storied past with its vibrant present.
The Tai Kok Tsui Municipal Services Building, situated at 63 Fuk Chuen Street in Kowloon, is a versatile establishment serving multiple purposes in Hong Kong. Spanning several floors, it houses the Tai Kok Tsui Market on the ground and first floors, boasting over 120 stalls. The second floor is dedicated to a cooked food center with 12 stalls, while the third floor is home to the Tai Kok Tsui Public Library. An indoor swimming pool occupies the 4th and 5th floors, and the Tai Kok Tsui Stadium spans the 6th to 7th floors. Prioritizing accessibility, the building is thoughtfully equipped with barrier-free amenities including entrances, lifts, and ramps, ensuring ease of movement for those with wheelchairs or reduced mobility. Additionally, accessible toilets are available across all floors, with staff readily assisting upon request.
