This is the third year that we have been vacationing in the area and this year we discovered this small lake where you can meet more than 100 turtles.
Several species can be discovered. What we recognized among them was the red-eared terrapin or pond slider. You could observe very small specimens and, of course, mature, adult turtles as well.
If someone appears at the barrier, they notice it immediately and quickly swim in the direction of the hoped-for food. If you bring them some food, they will show up in good numbers for the tasty morsels.
On the pier there is an abandoned building in a rather bad condition. Look for the cache in front of the building, on the lake side.
