It's been two years since the last the Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) and you know SLAGA does these events in style! The event is back agan and ready to roll--as in, roll the reel and show the films Geocaching style! Once again, we have secured the use of the Parkway Central Middle School Theater for our showing of the films. As always, we will have a pre-show of special clips and other noteworthy videos that are not part of the actual video release from headquarters. The total run-time of all videos lasts about 90 minutes which includes the hour-long "feature presentation."
Please park in the school parking lot and enter through the main school doors. Of course, there is NO cost to attending this event-it is, as it has always been, totally free to attend the event! All are welcome, and encouraged, to attend!
Social hour will start at 6:00 pm at the school. Social hour will be held in my classroom (Room 701) which shares a wall with the Theater so it is a quick walk from Social Hour to the actual Theater. There will be signs directing you to both my classroom and to the Theater. Bring your own dinner and something to drink as the school will have VERY limited food options available. There may be a vending machine or two open and working at that time, but no hot food. Sorry, the cafeteria here will be closed by the time the event starts! Of course, who wants to eat school food anyway? There are a variety of restaurants and other food options nearby--mainly just north of the school on Olive Blvd.
We will move to the Theater at 7:00 pm to view the videos and enjoy the show so no worries if you cannot make it there by 6:00 pm sharp.
Updates as of 11/2/2023:
1) We will be sharing the building with another group. The other group will be in the Atrium and may be a bit noisy--be sure to follow the signs to get to the theater.
2) We have obtained a door prize for one lucky person. A brand new freshly-minted geocoin will be won by someone in attendance, but you must be there to win it!

1) We are less than 48 hours away from the show! The videos are ready and the pre-show is complete! Can't wait to show the videos to everyone-the videos are awesome!
