Hongo

Hongo was home to many cultural figures and still retains its old streets and explanations showing its history. This cache is a cache where you can enjoy walking around Hongo on your own.Please enjoy the cultural and topographical features of Hongo as you walk along the narrow streets and hills.

About this cache

To reach the final location, you will need to walk from the initial coordinates, following the "Road book". On the route, you can find number a, b , c, d and calculate final coordinates.

N 35° 42. (a×20 + b×5 - d)’
E 139° 45. (b×3 + c×4 + d×10)’

With Road book in hand, observe your surroundings and enjoy the walk.

The walking distance is less than 2 km.

You will walk only on paved public roads and do not need to enter private property.

How to read the Road book

1. Road book is a simplified representation of the geometry of an intersection or junction. You can reach the goal by following the arrows on the Road book and turning at the intersection. 

2. In the Road book, the current location is marked with a "●" and the direction of travel is indicated with a "↑". The current location is drawn so that it is at the bottom of the diagram. The cardinal direction (east, west, north, south) is not shown. 

3. Road book does not show all intersections. It is only shown when turning at a junction, not when proceeding along the road. At intersections that do not have a Road book, please follow the road.

4. Road books show landmarks such as traffic mirrors and signboards, and you should use these as clues to identify the intersection.

本郷の街は、文化人が多く住んだ街でもあり、古い町並みや歴史を示す説明などが残っています。このキャッシュは、本郷を自分の足で散策して楽しむキャッシュです。細い道や坂道を歩きながら、本郷の文化的・地形的な特徴をお楽しみください。

このキャッシュについて

ファイナルの位置に辿り着くには、初期座標から「コマ図」を辿りながら歩いて移動する必要があります。ルート上でa, b, c, dの数字を見つけ、最終座標を計算してください。

歩く距離は2km以下です。

歩くのは舗装された公道のみで、私有地に入る必要はありません。

コマ図の読み方

1. コマ図は、交差点や分岐点の形状を簡略化して表示したものです。コマ図の矢印を辿って交差点を曲がっていくことでゴールに辿り着くことができます。

2. コマ図では、現在地が●印、進行方向は「↑」印で示してあります。現在地が図の下になるように描かれていて、方位（東西南北）は表現されていません。

3. コマ図は、通過するすべての交差点を表示してはいません。表示されているのは、交差点を分岐して曲がるときのみであり、道なりに進む場合は表示されていません。コマ図がない交差点では、*道なり*に進んでください。

4. コマ図には、「カーブミラー」や「看板」といった目印が描かれており、それらをヒントとしながら交差点を確認してください。
