NOTE: The previous container was muggled and the location was ravaged by the storms, so I needed to archive the previous geocache at this location. The new container and location are even more shocking now!
As with my other geocache in the area, Enjoy Some Whiskey in Bootlegger's Canyon, I'm intrigued by this area of Laguna Beach. Apart from the unique homes on this short street, there is a strange road at the end of the cul-de-sac that leads to "Fortress". I have no idea what Fortress is, as someone added it to Google Maps with no explanation. If you find anything on the internet, please let me know, because I haven't found anything yet. When you do have a chance to explore back here, you'll find a sunken city replete with concrete walls, cracked columns, bridges, brick, and misshapened rocks ravaged from years of flash flooding. If you're a fan of grafitti, you'll also like this place as taggers have made this place home. Further up the canyon, past the concrete canal, there are some cool caves if you want to explore more. Concrete is everywhere!
This geocache may take some heavy lifting and once found, it is shocking, so be careful. You’ll understand what to do as soon as you see it. The container is easily identifiable and disassembly of hardware is not required. Please sign the log and replace the item back and re-cover as you found it. If you'd like, sprinkle some surrounding fairy dust (branches, moss, dirt, etc) back onto the spot as this place does get occupied by muggles, as evidenced by the awesome artwork. Thanks!
