I don't usually place urban caches but this location seems worthy of highlighting to geocachers.
Legend has it that the Imperial Fountain began it's life in Italy. It was looted by Napoleon's army in 1800, but intercepted by the English on its way to France, and ended up in Cheltenham.
Since then this well travelled piece of art has graced the Imperial Spa (now the Queens Hotel), Montpellier Gardens, the town hall and the library. It's been in its current location for many years now, on loan from Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, but I can't help hut think that in this tucked away corner the fountain gets far few visitors than it would have in its heyday.
