Oletatavasti oli siin juba 13. sajandi lõpus kindlusrajatisi. Tänapäeval on Virtsus kolm sadamat: Virtsu sadama kaudu toimub parvlaevaühendus saartega; Vanasadam (kalatööstus) ja Kalasadam (Vanalinna all). Hea koht, et alustada rännakut Romantilisel rannateel!
ENG: Virtsu is a village and peninsula in Läänemaa, much more than just a "door" that you enter when travelling to the islands. It has probably been inhabited since the end of 13th century.
