Geocache Description:

平池緑地公園は、和歌山県紀の川市にあるため池です。
池の周囲には一周約1.5kmの遊歩道があり、ウォーキングすることができ、散歩コースとしても最適です。

珍しい水草や多種の水鳥や渡り鳥が生息しており、野鳥観察のスポットとしてバードウォッチャーにも人気のある公園です。

また、古代のハス「大賀ハス」と「ベトナムハス」が植えられており、6月下旬から7月の早朝にはピンク色の鮮やかな花を咲かせてくれます。
