The event will be held at Los Mariachis. The event is open to all geocachers, be it your first event or five hundredth. New cachers will learn quite a bit about the game's early years! Veterans will hear many a globe-trotting tale! All stories told are special and worthwhile.
Let's Visit Geo13!
This event is about meeting Geo13. Paul and Dot (we will miss her) were active in the game from 2002 through around 2014, and were one of a handful of cachers who represented the state's early caching history. They were prolific travelers. From driving all across Canada (and back--several times) to visiting every state, they were there. You'll hear tale of visiting several countries prior to geocaching. A retired minister, he was also part of an overseas ministry. Geo13 was also ranked high in the world and was top in the state for many years--and this was when caching was harder, caches were spread out, and a power trail might have meant a couple caches along a hiking trail. While health concerns necessitated a decline in involvement in the game, we'd all be very thankful to have aged so well as he.
Who doesn't like an opportunity to catch up with people you haven't seen in years? This event is so Geo13 and everyone can do just that. Listen to and be inspired by his stories and share with him your own.
