Cache #183
The Federation Council is a local government area located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. This area was formed in 2016 from the merger of the Corowa Shire with its neighbouring Urana Shire. These caches are some random additions to encourage more visitors to this part of the world.
Coreen has two churches - this multi will take you to both of them (they are far apart). You will need to collect information from the plaques aat the front of each of the churches to gather the final coordinates.
WP1 St Anne's Presbyterian Church
The St Anne's Presbyterian Church, Coreen is part of the Presbytery of Southern Rivers. It is associated with St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Corowa, although it is not clear if St Anne's is still functioning (though when I visited there was a sign for an Easter and Christmas services).

WP2 St Pius X Catholic Church
The St Pius X Catholic Church, Coreen is part of the Parish of Corowa and the Diocese of Wagga Wagga. After the sale of blocks of land about 1909, the number of Catholic families in the district increased. They attended Mass in Daysdale, but also in private homes. In 1913 the Coreen Hall was built and became a meeting place for Mass, although the homes of the Talbot and Culhane families were also used. Plans for a church building took shape in the 1950s. The church, under the patronage of St Pius X, was blessed and opened on 1/9/1963 by Bishop Francis Henschke. On 6/10/2013 the church celebrated its 50th anniversary.

You are looking for a bison a short distance away. There is long grass in the area so please be aware of snakes.
Enjoy!
