The Bunker
The coordinates will lead you to some kind of a Bunker near Nurit - a community settlement, Located on Mount Gilboa
The village was established as a moshav in 1950 by immigrants to Israel from Yemen and was named after the nearby Arab village Nuris, which lay in the adjacent valley. The Arab village was captured on 29 May 1948, during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. However, the residents abandoned the moshav after nine years, except for one woman who continued to live there until the early 1990s. In June 1958 a gar'in that went on to establish Ram-On was based in the village.
In 1962 the site became a Gadna army base, which was subsequently closed in 1994. In 2010 the Gilboa Regional Council started making plans to re-establish the settlement as an ecovillage.

נורית הוקמה ביוני-יולי 1950 ככפר עבודה על ידי עולים מתימן. הוא קיבל את שמו בהשראת שמו של הכפר הערבי נוריס ששכן בבקעה הסמוכה ונכבש ב-29 במאי 1948. תושבי המושב נטשוהו בהדרגה לאחר כ-9 שנים של התיישבות במקום, פרט לתושבת אחת, נדרה "הסבתא של הגדנ"ע", שהמשיכה לגור במקום גם כשהפך לבסיס גדנ"ע ונשארה בו עד סוף שנות ה-90.
ביוני 1958 עלה למקום גרעין ההקמה של רם און, להתיישבות זמנית עד הקמת יישובם הקבוע. ב-1962 הפך המקום לבסיס גדנ"ע. הבסיס ננטש בשנת 1994 ובמקום נותרו רק נדרה וכן טפת נבו ומשפחתה בחוות בודדים הצמודה לגדר הבסיס הנטוש.
בשנת 2010 הוקם היישוב נורית כיישוב קהילתי ואקולוגי תיירותי על חורבות בסיס הגדנ"ע.
