[Niigata 2km Support Series]
Niigata City has named the 2-km urban center axis connecting Niigata Station, Bandai, and Furumachi, "Niigata 2km".
We have hidden some caches around the area surrounding this urban axis.
We hope that visitors will use "the Niigata 2km Share Cycle" and other services to sightsee Niigata City while geocaching, and feel the charm of Niigata City.
#6 Bandai Terrace
Bandai Terrace, which opened downstream of Bandai Bridge in May 2015, was created by partially reclaiming the Shinano River in a part of Bandaijima Green Space connecting Bandai Bridge and Toki Messe. As a result, a green space and promenade connect the Yasuragi Bank upstream of Bandai Bridge to Toki Messe via Bandai Terrace. The Bandai Terrace is divided into two levels: the upper level has a paved pathway with natural stone colors, flower beds, covered benches, and restrooms. The lower level is a granite plaza where visitors can enjoy a close-up view of the Shinano River. The Shinano River and Bandai Bridge viewed from the granite plaza. The terrace has a slightly urban atmosphere, with buildings surrounding it. Please come and visit us.

【にいがた2km応援シリーズ】
新潟の中心である新潟駅、万代、古町をつなぐ約2kmの都心軸を「にいがた2km」と新潟市は名付けました。
この都心軸周辺エリアを中心にキャッシュをいくつか隠しました。
にいがた2kmシェアサイクルなどを活用してジオキャッシングをしながら新潟市を観光してもらい、新潟市の魅力を感じてもらえたらと思います。
#6 万代テラス
平成27年（2015年）5月に萬代橋下流にオープンした万代テラスは、萬代橋と朱鷺メッセを結ぶ万代島緑地の一部で信濃川を一部埋め立てて作りました。これにより、萬代橋上流のやすらぎ堤から、万代テラスを通って朱鷺メッセまで、緑地・遊歩道で結ばれました。万代テラスは、上下2段に分かれていて、上段には自然石の色を生かした舗装の園路と花壇、屋根付きのベンチ、トイレなどが整備されています。下段は御影石が一面に張られた広場になっており、信濃川の流れを間近に見られます。御影石の広場から眺める信濃川と萬代橋。周りにはビルが建ち並び、ちょっと都会的な雰囲気のテラス。皆さんどうぞお越しください。
