Come join us Dinosaur Discovery Day at Dinosaur Ridge on Saturday, October 14th from 9am - 10am (the geocaching event is just an hour, but Discovery Day goes until 3pm). Doing the event portion shorter this year so people can make it to the GCCO Chili Cookoff. Geocaching Colorado has been hosting a booth at Dino Days since 2006, and created an event for it most of those years. I am trying to help keep this tradition going with help from our great geocaching community. Those who attend love swinging by our booth to learn about our crazy addiction. Feel free to hang out, help out, or just say hi. We'd love to have you! We should be at or very near the posted coordinates. Look for the Geocaching Colorado banner.

You can take a leisurely stroll around the park, learning about dinosaurs and finding geocaches, or take the shuttle for a small fee. Come share stories, and trade trackables. There is always something fun to do even if you have already found all of the nearby caches. Perhaps you could even help convert a muggle into a geocacher??? Did you know that Colorado's State Fossil is a Stegosaurus?
PARKING FOR THIS EVENT: Our event parking will be on-site. They rented the field to the east of the Visitor Center for parking again as they did for their Boy Scout Day in May. The only worry is really low-clearance vehicles and the grasses in the field – so if you do have a really low-clearance car, consider street parking.
