Tai antras geocache iš serijos, skirtos Mergežerio kaimui.
Mergežeris – kaimas Varėnos rajone, nutolęs per maždaug 4 km nuo Varėnos miesto Marcinkonių kryptimi, įsikūręs aplink tokio paties pavadinimo ežerą. Pro kaimą taip pat teka Derežnos upelis. 2021 m. duomenimis kaimas turėjo 41 nuolatinį gyventoją.
Mergežerio ąžuolas yra galimai seniausias kaimo medis. Jo kamieno apimtis siekia apie 470 cm, o aukštis apie 15 m. Ąžuolo viduje didžiulė drėvė. Deja, medis niekaip nesaugomas.
PASTABA: iki ežero nėra lengva patekti. Rekomenduojama eiti pridėtoje nuotraukoje pažymėtu maršrutu, nes tai vienintelė vieša preiga, vedanti tiesiai prie ąžuolo ir lobio vietos. Jeigu atvykote su automobiliu, rekomenduoju automobilį palikti dar šiek tiek tolėliau, pvz., ties mėlynai pažymėta zona, kad neužblokuotumėte siauro kelio ir neparkuotumėte gyventojų kiemuose.

This is the second geocache in a series dedicated to the village of Mergežeris.
Mergežeris is a village in the Varėna district, located about 4 km from Varėna in the direction of Marcinkonys, around the lake of the same name. The Derežna stream also flows through the village. In 2021, the village had 41 permanent inhabitants.
The Mergežeris oak tree is possibly the oldest tree in the village. It has a trunk circumference of about 470 cm and a height of about 15 m. There is a large wetland inside the oak. Unfortunately, the tree is not protected in any way.
NOTE: The lake is not easily accessible. It is recommended to follow the route marked in red in the attached photo, as it is the only public access leading directly to the oak tree and the geocache site. If you come with a car, I recommend that you leave your car a little further away, e.g. at the area marked in blue, so as not to block the narrow road and park in people's private yards.
