[LV] Medema purva taka atklāta 2023. gada 23. septembrī un atrodas tepat Pierīgā. Kādreizējā kūdras ieguves teritorija daļēji apmežota, daļēja atstāta dabiskai atjaunošanai. Medema purva izpētē 2015. gadā tika secināts, ka šajā vietā ir novērojama liela floras un faunas bagātība, te arī tika atrasta parazītiskā samtbeka (Xerocomus parasiticus) - unikālais atradums slēpjas tajā, ka līdz šim sēne Latvijā konstatēta tikai Moricsalas dabas rezervātā. Par godu šim notikumam tepat netālu ir veltīs SLĒPNIS, kuram kā reiz visērtāk būs piekļūt tieši no Medema purva takas.
Takas oficiālais sākums (Parkinga norāde) ir pie Vētrām, kopējais pastaigas garums būs ap 5 km. Pirmais posms gan ir pa meža celiņiem, pa kuriem var arī piebraukt līdz takas sākumam ar auto. Ar auto līdz takas sākumam var piebraukt arī no Rīgas apvedceļa puses. Labiekārtotās takas garums turp-atpakaļ būs ap 2,5 km - vietām gan var būt mazāk vai vairāk dubļu, it īpaši slapjākā laikā. Takā izveidoti īpaši dizaina soliņi, tiltiņi un lielformāta izziņas informācijas stendi.
Slēpnis novietots blakus purva ezeriņam, netālu no takas noslēguma vietas. Būs jāpakāpjas daži soļi augšup pa zaraino priedi, lai tiktu līdz slēpnim. Veiksmi meklējumos un jauku atpūtu!
[EN] The Medema Bog Trail was opened on September 23, 2023, right next to the Rīga. This former peat extraction area has been partly afforested and partly left for natural regeneration. Research conducted in 2015 at Medema Bog revealed a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including a unique discovery of the parasitic bolete mushroom (Xerocomus parasiticus), which had previously only been found in the Moricsala Nature Reserve in Latvia. In celebration of this event, there is a CACHE nearby, conveniently accessible directly from the Medema Bog Trail.
The official starting point of the trail (Parking spot) is near Vētras, with a total hiking distance of about 5 km. The first section follows forest roads, which can also be reached by car. Access by car to the trailhead is also possible from the Rīga bypass side. The maintained trail covers a round trip of about 2.5 km, although there may be more or fewer muddy sections, especially during wet weather. Along the trail, you'll find specially designed benches, footbridges, and large-format informational signs.
The cache is located near a small bog lake, not far from the end of the trail. You'll need to climb a few steps up through the rugged pine to reach the cache. Good luck and enjoy your outing!
