Green lane 1 ~ The Trackable Hotel
This series of 10 caches is set in memory of Shaun (Mr WildWoody) who passed away suddenly in December last year. I can think of no better tribute to him as he was always happiest than when we was outdoors, walking he dogs and loved the thrill of the hunt for geocaches.
Just off the busy A140 Cromer Road, I felt this would be the ideal spot for a TB Hotel. You are looking for a regular size clip box with room for trackables and swaps. There is safe off road parking for several cars. Green Lane extends from here through to the B1149 at Horsford. Parking is also available further down the lane where the metalled road becomes a dirt track. Stout boots are advisable, especially in winter as the track becomes excessively muddy.
We first discovered Green Lane when trying to find somewhere not too far from home where we could run Archie and Danny off lead at the start of the Covid 19 pandemic. It quickly became the favoured desination for our allowed daily exerise, a five minute car journey and we could access many and various routes through the woods and hardly see a soul.
