Located a short distance from a council golf course. Accessible via a 400 m riverside walk.
This is a golf themed cache. Swap in the theme of the cache if possible, but it is not necessary as I will restock the cache with themed items from time to time.
Start at S 27°30.351' E 153°00.054'. There is room to park at the side of the road, and a water fountain nearby to fill up your drink bottles. Start heading down the path towards the cache. The path will take you along the Brisbane River, over a couple of bridges, and finally alongside the golf course. If you get to the research institution you have gone too far. The cache is about 10 m off the track, in a 2 litre tupperware container. Coordinates are the average of six readings. The cache container is not very big, so bring small items, but please, no used golf balls (new ones are okay, especially one with interesting logos on them).
The initial contents of the cache are:
- a golf ball monogrammer, used and needing a new ribbon, but in good condition
- two new novelty golf balls
- one new golf ball with a corporate logo
- 2 bags of golf teas
- log book and pen, in zip lock bag,
- and H2O Snoopy hitch hiker.
