The River Nidd flows from Gouthwaite Reservoir through Nidderdale and joins with the River Ouse before York then flows in to the Humber and out in to the North Sea.
Pateley Bridge sits around the River Nidd with the main road, the B6265 crossing the river on its journey into the Yorkshire Dales. There is a road bridge and a footbridge crossing the Nidd in the centre of the town, this cache is accessible from the safer footbridge. Both can be very busy, particularly in the summer months so extreme stealth is required when seeking this cache.
You will need a pen to sign the log and tweezers to retrieve the log book. There is no room for trackables or swaps. Please be careful as there is a slight gap where anything dropped will land in the river! If an accident occurs with the cache please let me know!
Wheelchair users may struggle to retrieve the cache without assistance but the footbridge is smooth and accessible
