Geocache Description:

Cache is ****NOT**** at posted coordinates.

This is part of a series of diary entries I found by a young pirate. The entries were numbered as they were discovered so the story may seem out of order. I hope you enjoy reading these entries and finding their hidden secrets. Be safe, stealthy, and happy caching.

They must have been nearly as large as four ships. How could three animals be so large? Men were lining up at the rail. Five or more were poking up from the hull to see what the yelling was all about. I only counted on the closest creature, seven tentacles which sent shivers down my spine. I had heard stories of the animals in the sea. But even at seven years old, I couldn’t have imagined this. They swam beside us for a while. Maybe eighty-six feet off the starboard side. Then they were gone, back to the depths. If they had a mind to I'm sure any of them could have wrapped those tentacles around our ship and crushed us. With eight of those things it would have been easy. Where did it go? Would it come back? Would it attack us? Three members of the crew weren't surprised if they'd have zero nightmares. We decided to post nine men on watch.  I needed to calm myself, for the crew. Six hours left on our shift. I put one man in the crow's nest and had nine men clean and prepare the cannons for anything. A few men swapped the deck and the rest spent the next few hours of their watch keeping busy at whatever tasks they had been assigned to complete.
