[Niigata 2km Support Series]
Niigata City has named the 2-km urban center axis connecting Niigata Station, Bandai, and Furumachi, "Niigata 2km".
We have hidden some caches around the area surrounding this urban axis.
We hope that visitors will use "the Niigata 2km Share Cycle" and other services to sightsee Niigata City while geocaching, and feel the charm of Niigata City.

What's NiiGATA Monument is a popular Instagram spot. The monuments have been installed in several locations in the city as part of the 'Niigata Port Opening 150th Anniversary Memorial Project' to pass on the people-to-people exchanges and the brand image of 'Minato Machi Niigata' created by the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port of Niigata to future generations. This monument depicts 'What's Michael' by Niigata City manga artist Makoto Kobayashi.

新潟の中心である新潟駅、万代、古町をつなぐ約2kmの都心軸を「にいがた2km」と新潟市は名付けました。
この都心軸周辺エリアを中心にキャッシュをいくつか隠しました。
にいがた2kmシェアサイクルなどを活用してジオキャッシングをしながら新潟市を観光してもらい、新潟市の魅力を感じてもらえたらと思います。

インスタ映えスポットとして人気の「What’s NiiGATA モニュメント」。新潟開港150周年により生み出された、人と人との交流や、「みなとまち新潟」のブランドイメージなどを次世代へと継承するため実施してきた「新潟開港150周年メモリアルプロジェクト」の一環として、市内複数個所に設置しています。このモニュメントは新潟市の漫画家・小林まこと先生の「ホワッツ マイケル」が描かれていると共に、Iの中に入ってNIIGATAの一部になることができます。
