Ode to My Storage Unit Junk
A storage unit I had to rent
To store all my extra stuff.
But all the money I have spent
Over the years, way more than enough!
I could have bought ... all my junk
Three times over with cash.
I continue to pay ... like a punk
But still want to keep that stash.
Someday I’ll be gone for good.
And to the junk my stuff will go.
I’d take it with me if I could.
But once again, I would owe, owe, owe.
I’ll use and enjoy it while I can.
Then goodbye to my stuff no longer new
I'll say goodbye to shovel and pan
And only I knew it’s true value.
