Geocache Description:

I am johnpoontf, a new cacher who's made Tai Kok Tsui his home. After unearthing nearly a hundred caches, my enthusiasm has grown, pushing me to contribute more to my community. Taking the initiative, I'm proud to introduce the Tai Kok Tsui Series. This district, which bridges the dynamic areas of Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, and Yau Ma Tei, has a compelling history. Once a pier, its reclaimed lands now bustle with residential life. As geocachers explore this series, they'll traverse an area that beautifully interweaves its storied past with its vibrant present.

Olympian Park, a serene getaway within the bustling city of Hong Kong, holds memories of triumphs and celebrations. As you step into this park, you are taken on a journey celebrating the spirit of the Olympics, and the pride of Hong Kong's achievements in it. Begin your quest near the Olympic Park's centerpiece - the sculpture commemorating Lee Lai-shan's 1996 Olympic gold medal in windsurfing, a proud moment for Hong Kong. Though the original sculpture was damaged by Typhoon Vincente in 2012, its legacy lives on. As you meander through the park, you'll find various play areas tailored for children, from rotating slides to thrilling climbing frames, reflecting the dynamic spirit of the Olympics. A perfect location for families to enjoy, with protective shading ensuring the sun and rain don't hinder your fun.

Do note that the opening hours for Olympian Park is 6am to 10pm
