WHAT: Attend your last event of 2023
WHY: Earn a souvenir (Goodbye 2023), earn an event smiley, enjoy snacks, fellowship, fun, fire pit, friends.
WHEN: Sunday, December 31, 2023, between 4pm & 6pm.... or later...!
WHERE: Mechanicsburg Parks & Recreation Picnic Pavilion. 1731 S York St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
WHO: Anyone that wants to celebrate the end of 2023.
The pavilion is reserved for our event, even though it's a holiday.

Yes, It's outside. As usual... It'll be dark and cold.... but we've done this before, and we can do it again. Vertumnis & MrsV will be bringing a camp stove and we will provide some hot drinks like hot cider, cocoa, coffee, bottled water (might be frozen), and some snacks... feel free to bring some leftover Christmas cookies, fruit cake, or other goodies you’re willing to part with…LOL.
Sign your "Will Attends" and you'll get updated as notifications are posted. Feel free to bring your campfire forks to cook up your favorite vittles and gooey deserts, and enjoy the evening as we say goodbye to 2023. Alcoholic beverages are NOT ALLOWED.
I suspect we will have some door prizes and gifts as well.
So come on out and meet some local and not so local geocachers. We want to hear some of your stories relating back through this past year. GeoWoodstock, Headquarters visit, Going Caching, your travels, etc. How has geocaching impacted your life during the time you have been involved? Have you met friends you wouldn't have otherwise? If you have attended before and have a caching friend that might appreciate an evening out in the fresh air, on a winter night, by all means you should invite them. Muggles too...😀.
The event will last 2 hours +, but you are not obligated to stay the full 2 hours. In reality... we will likely be there even more than 2 hours, because it is just so much fun to stand around the fire and discuss Geocaching...! As long as we have firewood….😎.
BTW... Reviewers are always invited as well. Everyone should be having fun on this holiday. We appreciate what they do and always enjoy meeting up with the folks that make all this happen with order & fairness.
FYI... You can also earn another souvenir tomorrow (GREETINGS 2024) by attending "GCAFZX7 First Event of the Year - part VII" and post your "will attend". This is the 7th year for these events, (2020/2021 was unofficial) and the attendance seems to get better each year. You suppose it's because they're fun...😎...!
I'll have some TBs from Florida to drop in the event, to be discovered and moved. Please bring some TBs for others to discover or take on their travels as well.
