Located just a few feet off of the snowmobile trail. You (most likely) cannot get here in the summer or wet months due to the "big swamp" if you take the public trail route. "Wet" access requires crossing private property, so do not even bother to ask. This one is worth the trip. It is long, but makes for a scenic day ride.
This area has been hunted by my family for 70+ years. With the logging in the past few years, all of the old tall pine landmarks are gone. Where the cache is there is an old Cedar Swamp, and nearby logging camp with artifacts. The camp appears to be fading away and is no longer noticeable unless you get lucky and find some metal. This area was logged by the old timers in the late 1800's and the snowmobile trail is part of an old railroad grade (not that you can tell anymore) now that it has grown over and faded back into the swamp.
The cache should be easy to find if you can get to the spot.
