Back in the day, this place was formally known as [General Winfield] Scott Park, thanks to the County of Los Angeles, who named it before the City of Carson incorporated.

During its time as Scott Park, my mom took me & my sister here for many extra-curricular classes: karate, guitar, basketball, etc. We even attended a few parties & events here. It was great!
In 2019, Scott Park was renamed Foisia Park after park employee Harry T. Foisia, who was known throughout the community for his volunteer work with troubled youth.
Also back in the day...Doc Brown's day...the colorful metaphor "Great Scott" was a minced oath associated with none other than...General Winfield Scott. "Great Scott" was Doc Brown's catchphrase throughout the Back to the Future trilogy. And the Back to the Future series was our favorite series while we were going to Scott Park. In short, we thought it was great!

That's heavy!
