Geocache Description:

Quenda

A small cache inspired by the Quenda, also known as the Southern Brown Bandicoot.

----------------------------------

Although I’ve personally never seen one the Quenda is native to the area and bushland. After being inspired by the native fauna I decided to make a cache in honour of the little marsupial.

The Quenda or Southern Brown Bandicoot is a part of the Bandicoot and Billy family. They are only found in South Western Australia and are a different species to those found further east. The Quenda is a Threatened species with foxes and cats being its biggest threat. They enjoy eating fungi, tubers, fruit, invertebrates and sometimes small animals. Quenda hide under dense shrubs, within thick leaf litter and inside hollows and burrows. If you want to read more about the Quenda I have added a link below.

The cache itself is a medium container which is designed to have the pattern of two Quenda on it! It can fit small trade items in it.
