What seems like a small park, it much larger as you trek
into it!
Although you can hear the traffic on nearby US Alt #19, this
isolated setting is peaceful enough to hear the birds chirping and
the breeze rustling through the trees. Surrounded by a natural wall
of trees and shrubs, you may forget that you are really in the
middle of a busy residential area.
Remember: Protect the area. Take
nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.
1) Start at Hammock Park parking lot:

W 82 47.072
2) Take boardwalk to the west of the parking lot, take the first
left on the boardwalk and look for the Bat House. Record the number
on sign.
3) Continue to end of boardwalk. Record last 4 digits of # found
on metal plate on telephone pole. This number will help you fill in
the #2 blank.
4) Add 896 from the answer #1 to find the last three digits that
are missing from the next location:
N 28 02.143
W 82 46. _ _ _ (blank #1 _______ + 896)
5) Go to that location and you will see an eagle's nest platform
on a pole. Record the last 4 digits of date on the sign on the
pole. This number will help you fill in the #3 blank.
6) Follow the sidewalk and you will find the Youth Guild
Trail.
7) Continue on the trail then take the boardwalk on the left to
the dead end then turn left. Continue to follow boardwalk past the
shelter and take trail to the cache located at:
N 28 02. _ _ _ (0675 - ________ blank #2)
W 82 46. _ _ _ (1179 - ________ blank #3)
To find the missing number in N location, subtract blank #2 from
0675.
To find the missing number in W location, subtract blank #3 from
1179.
8) Go to that location and you will find the cache in a small
black plastic bottle in a dead tree.
