Some of you may remember such things as Sally selling seashells when you were on vacation at the beach, the woodchuck tossing wood around, or the guy picking about 1/4 of a bushel of pickled peppers out on the farm. Maybe you mastered those little rascals.
Tongue twisters are useful in that they help with pronunciation. They are used in elementary schools and in language classes. And of course they are used to entertain and amuse.
Let’s get together to celebrate this simple (or not so simple) thing that causes our tongues to get turned every which way. Come with your favorite examples whether you ever mastered them or not. Maybe we will have a contest. And if you have one in another language you will get extra credit.
Lets meet at Anderson Snow Park at 3 PM. Bring a chair. Bring a friend. Come when you can and leave when you must. Hope to see you there.
