October 15, 2023. The great caching adventure continues. SQRL, AFam, and Green finished eating cake. Next up was a visit to Peder Johnson, a top-100 ND Oldest cache. We carefully took T00's car up a rough trail to a monument marker. A SD car blocked the trail at the marker, so SQRL, AFam, and Green hiked down to see Peder's Cache. The SD family was joyously hiking back up the gulch to their car. AFam thought they were caches- why else would they be way out here off road on the couteau? AFam was wrong, but the SD Mom thought maybe she should start geocaching again now that she has kiddos. The three of us continued the hike into the gulch and found... two lost ladies. SQRL escorted the ladies to a well defined trail that would bring take them back to the monument while Green and SQRL visited with Peder.
EXCUSE MY TANGENT- back to Ashley. Ashley, the Seat of McIntosh County, was also missing its cache!
AFam found the Park. SQRL did the hiding. The coordinates were bouncing around a bit, look on the old piece of military equipment. Not a plane, not a tank, not a helicopter, but it makes one heck of a BOOM!
