This site was first used in the 1800s as an Artillery Barracks, then known as Topsham Barracks. Now known as Wyvern Barracks, the site has been home many different military units throughout it’s history. During the First World War the Royal Field Artillery Unit was based here, and during the Second World War units from the United States Army were stationed here. The site has been used for Infantry Training, a Field Hospital, and for Military Intelligence to name a few.
At the posted co-ordinates you will find two rather large flag boards outside the barracks. You will need to study the flags on the boards to complete the co-ordinates of the log location.
A = Number of wings in the bottom right flag on the right hand board.
B = Total number of Union Jack flags featured.
C = Total number of flags with a green background.
D = Total number of flags featuring at least 1 sword.
E = Number of stripes on the top left flag on the left hand board.
F = Number of green squares on the top left flag on the right hand board.
G = Total number of bells featured.
H = Number of towers in the top right flag on the right hand board.
J = Total number of horses featured.
K = Total number of flags featuring at least one crown.

The location of the final cache is a short 3 to 5 min walk from the flag boards.

The Flag boards you need to study are next to a very busy main road, please keep an eye on any small ones and 4 legged friends.
