In 2023, a spectacular work of public art appeared on a rock wall on the road leading down to Kealakekua Bay. There is room for a single car to park next to it.
This cache is located on a fairly narrow and windy road. It is not terribly busy most of the time, but you do have to watch out as there are few places to pass. In order to get this cache, you need to pull completely off the road into the one available space. It is easier to do so when heading up the hill. If you are heading down the hill, slow down as you approach the coordinates or you might miss the location and will have to wait a while before you can turn around and try again.
I received permission from the organization that painted the mural to put a cache next it, as long it was non-destructive. THERE IS NO REASON TO TOUCH THE MURAL. The cache is in a puka to the right side of the painting. Kindly restore the cache to its hiding place exactly as you found it.
