Lietuvos mokyklos - tai Lietuvos mokyklose veikiančių jaunųjų miško bičiulių naujas projektas, kurio tikslas – skatinti vaikų smalsumą, plėsti gamtos ir navigacijos žinias. Taip pat populiarinti geocaching žaidimą tarp mokinių ir mokytojų, išmokyti mokytojus pasinaudoti geocaching sistemos galimybėmis ugdymo procese.
Lithuanian schools is a new project of young forest buddies of Lithuanian schools, the purpose is to stimulate children's curiosity, expand knowledge of nature and navigation. Also popularize the game of geocaching among childrens and teachers, teach teachers to use the opportunities of the geocaching system in the educational process.
Pastauninko parkas
Neretai žmonės Kretingą pavadina parkų miestu. Ir tikrai – kur pažvelgsi, visur ošia medžiai. Visai šalia Kretingos centro esantis Pastauninko parkas – viena didžiausių žaliuojančių erdvių mieste. Parkas suformuotas buvusiose pranciškonų vienuolyno žemėse ir užima 18 ha plotą. Prieškario laikotarpiu, užtvenkus Pastauninko upelį, čia suformuoti du tvenkiniai. Kažkada vienuoliai juose veisė žuvis. O ir dabar žvejai tvenkinių pakrantėse kantriai laukia savo laimikio. Parkas yra tobula vieta pasivaikščiojimams – patogūs takeliai, daugybė suoliukų, gražūs vaizdai. Pastauninko parke daugybė medžio skulptūrų, informacinių stendų apie apylinkių augaliją ir augmeniją, net įrengtas vabzdžių viešbutis. Šalia parko ar jo teritorijoje rasti galima ne vieną istorinį pastatą – malūną, Lurdo grotą, Šv. Antano rūmus, senąsias kapines.
Paustauninkas Park
People often call Kretinga the city of parks. And indeed - wherever you look, there are rustling trees everywhere. Paustauninka Park, located right next to the center of Kretinga, is one of the largest green spaces in the city. The park was formed on the former lands of the Franciscan monastery and covers an area of 18 hectares. During the pre-war period, two ponds were formed here after the Paustauninka stream was dammed. Monks once bred fish in them. And now the fishermen are patiently waiting for their catch on the shores of the ponds. The park is a perfect place for walks - comfortable paths, many benches, beautiful views. Paustauninka Park has many wooden sculptures, information stands about the flora and fauna of the area, and even an insect hotel. Next to the park or on its territory, you can find many historical buildings - the mill, the grotto of Lourdes, St. Anton's palace, the old cemetery.
