안산시의 가장 큰 공원이다. 이 공원을 둘러싸고 사방에 안산 내에서 부유한 아파트 단지가 위치한 탓에 근처에 사는 주민들이 산책하거나 운동하는 모습을 매우 쉽게 볼 수 있고, 호수 중앙에는 높이 20m의 고사분수가 뿜어져 나온다. 건설 초기 30만평의 대공원으로 언플을 때렸다. 과거에는 호수공원에서 연예인들도 등장하는 여러 행사들이 개최되었으나 2010년 이후로는 그런 일이 거의 없어졌다....가 2017년 KBS가 주최한 한국-베트남 수교 25주년 기념 우정슈퍼쇼촬영이 있었다. 좌 호수공원과 우 호수공원으로 나눠져 있으며 두 호수공원은 석촌호수처럼 광덕로에 의해 좌우로 분리되어 있다. 주로 좌 호수공원이 사람들이 흔히 생각하는 호수가 있는 호수공원의 모습이라면 우 호수공원은 농구장, 인라인 스케이트장, 축구장, 수영장등이 모여있는 야외 복합 체육시설의 느낌이다. 주변행사가 있거나 어린이날이 되면 주차장이 미어터져 대로변까지 차들이 주차되어있다. 매해 여름마다 안산호수공원 야외수영장이 운영된다. 주변에 거주하고 있는 주민들이 어린 아이들 데리고 나와서 더위를 식히고 가긴 한다. 2009년까지는 이곳에서 안산 국제거리극 축제가 진행됐었던 역사가 있다.
This is the largest park in the city of Anshan. Surrounding the park are some of the wealthiest apartment complexes in Ansan, so it's not uncommon to see residents walking or exercising nearby, and a 20-meter-high Gosa Fountain gushes from the center of the lake. In the past, the lake park has hosted a number of events with celebrity appearances, but since 2010, this has become a rare occurrence. In 2017, a friendship supershow was filmed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, organized by Ansan City and hosted by KBS. The park is divided into Left Lake Park and Right Lake Park, and the two are separated by Gwangdeok-ro, just like Seokchon Lake. If the left lake park is what people usually think of as a lake park with a lake, the right lake park is an outdoor sports facility with basketball courts, inline skating rinks, soccer fields, and swimming pools. When there is a nearby event or children's day, the parking lot is full and cars are parked along the street. The Ansan Lake Park outdoor swimming pool is open every summer. Residents living in the neighborhood often bring their young children to cool off. Until 2009, the Ansan International Street Theater Festival was held here.
