30年ほど前まではこのあたり一帯山であり、キャッシュのある位置辺りから東は小学校でした。
それを区画整理などでグラウンドの移設、旧グラウンドは道路が通されました。
キャッシュ位置より東には新知小学校碑があり、そこまでが小学校であったことを記しています。
またさらに東には小学校敷地内ですが、電子基準点「知多」もあります。
