Ho Ho Ho, Listen up! Come join your fellow geocachers for a quick refresh CITO of John Jenkins Park (Hillendale Park) before the reindeers, Amazon boxes, and fat men start falling from the sky! Sunset is at 4:49 today, hence the weird time.
Many of us long time attendees refer to any clean up at this park as Good Samaritan Day. you see, when I first hosted a CITO there was some trifling citizens in the parking lot drinking beers. They saw us cleaning and one of them asked us "What is this? Good Samaritan Day or something?" He then chucked his beer can into the woods and they all drove off.
This is one of my "lighter" CITO's because we are just maintaining the work we originally started at the first clean up. That said there are still TONS of little things blown all over the park. Bags for the clean up have been provided by NoVAGO. You may possibly get dirty, so you might want to dress appropriately. Our planned cleanup area is marked in red on the picture above. Disabled cachers are invited as well, as the park has a paved path and parking lot that could be policed safely by wheelchair.
