I am johnpoontf, a new cacher who's made Tai Kok Tsui his home. After unearthing nearly a hundred caches, my enthusiasm has grown, pushing me to contribute more to my community. Taking the initiative, I'm proud to introduce the Tai Kok Tsui Series. This district, which bridges the dynamic areas of Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, and Yau Ma Tei, has a compelling history. Once a pier, its reclaimed lands now bustle with residential life. As geocachers explore this series, they'll traverse an area that beautifully interweaves its storied past with its vibrant present.
Lime Stardom at 1 Larch Street, Tai Kok Tsui is a fusion of contemporary elegance and deep-rooted history. Developed by a private developer in partnership with the Urban Renewal Authority, this impressive tower stretches 165 meters across 37 floors, providing 377 exclusive living spaces, from compact studio apartments to opulent penthouses. However, Lime Stardom isn't merely a residential skyscraper in Hong Kong's skyline. Its site bears the echoes of the past; once, four tenement buildings occupied this ground, until the Urban Renewal Authority acquired them in December 2004 for HKD 1.41 billion. The resulting structure, complete with a shopping arcade, represents Hong Kong's dynamic urban transformation, harmonizing historical narratives with forward-looking ambitions.
