HO! HO! HO!! It's the most wonderful time of the geo-year and Cachemas 2023 will soon be here. You know that there will be talk of what time each Cachemas Cache will publish and where they might be located, not to mention tips on how to get an FTF. To help with their predictions, I have heard that some geocachers even have spreadsheets with times/locations of previous years' Cachemas caches. Now THAT'S dedication!! And why not! An L Frank ornament is quite the prize to adorn one's Christmas tree. Bring tales of your 2023 caching trips, Travel Bugs to trade, and holiday cheer to share with those in attendance.
Since the closing of that spacious location in Kirkwood years ago, I have been looking for a place that gives us the same amount of space. When this one opened, I thought it might work. I know it's not quite as centrally located as the previous one, but let's give it a try. We will gather in the LARGE back room, where there is plenty of space for us to spread out and spend time together. No purchase is necessary to attend this event.
There will be something new this year...an UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CONTEST. Everyone who attends will be given a ballot to vote for the sweater they think is the ugliest. An ugly sweater group photo, and whole group photo, will be taken at 2:00. All ballots must be cast by that time. Here's what you need to do in order to participate. Wear that ugly Christmas sweater to the event and find me when you arrive. I'll give you a number to pin on your sweater. Mingle at the event, so people can admire your sweater. The winner will be announced once the votes are counted (shortly after 2:00), so time your arrival accordingly. There is a prize for the ugliest sweater.
