Was heading backing home from doing some errands in Taupaki....and I thought I would see if I could find a place near the now Defunt Waitakere Railway Station for a geocache ! Yay ! I did !
No longer a Passenger station...but freight trains go past...so keep off the tracks .
There is a small playground here , toilets, a kindergarten, a Fire Station , a dairy and an RSA.
Also if you get the train to Swanson, now the end of the line; you can get a connecting bus here to Waitakere township.
No need to cross any fences or walk on the old platform.
Cache is a tube with an orange lid, and tape on it .No room for toys or TBs or pens . Bring your own pen
Look for concrete blocks.....
