Beer O'Clock #16 - Marrickville v4 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

EverestHigh: Another Beer O'Clock Event was held at Mixtape Brewery in Marrickville, along the "Inner West Ale Trail", with it's retro 70's vibe.

It was attended by about a dozen geocachers, including new friends SadBearSoup. (When they log their Attended Log, they could also claim {FTF} as it was not only their first Beer O'Clock Event, but their first Event of any kind).

There were many dogs in this dog-friendly venue, but not Zelda, Sookie, Teddy, and the Woof Bros, all of whom could not make it.

Apart from a range of interesting small batch brews, we also enjoyed the tacos, spicy chicken wings and sweet potato fries.
The music was definitely a 'backing track' as the pre-Christmas celebratory mood had the venue buzzing.

Time to Archive this Event. Looking forward to seeing you at future Beer O'Clock Events and many other Event over the New Year.

BEER O'CLOCK is the end of the working day, time to down tools or log off, and meet up with friends for a refreshing drink and social interaction.

This will be one of a series of Events planned to explore some of Sydney's growing number of Microbreweries and Craft Beer Pubs in the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and The Rocks, maybe even venturing into The Shire, the North Shore, Northern Beaches, or any where Geocachers and geocaches can be found.

Mixtape Brewing

A neon cassette above the entrance gives away Mixtape Brewing, a clandestine little brewery and bar on the inner west ale trail.

Beyond the roller door, you’ll be met with an old arcade machine, a 1960s Nick Scali lounge suite, and a tiled bar dead ahead pouring indie craft beers from 18 taps.

To the right is a small, 300-litre brewery, which pumps out small-batch beers for the bar.

Come for a refreshing ale or just to catch up with geocaching friends.

Hope to see you there!
