Pull out that special recipe or two and bake a few dozen goodies to share for this Holiday Cookie Exchange! Apparently, in the cut throat competitive world of Holiday Cookie Exchanges, there are many, many rules. So, what if you don't like to bake or don't know how? No judgment here! Store bought or bakery bought are welcomed! Cookies are cookies!
Please list in your "Will Attend" log what you intend to bring to avoid having 200 chocolate chip cookies. Then again, if we end up with 200 chocolate chip cookies, then we end up with 200 chocolate chips cookies. They're cookies, right?? Woo hoo! This will also give others a headcount on how many cookies to bake (or buy!) and prepare.
Serving size will be 3 cookies per trade. You will want to bag your cookies (3 to a bag) as it makes for easier trade, transport and cleanup. You do not need to trade with everyone but if you would like to, make sure you bring enough cookies to do so and perhaps a few extra for folks who may turn up last minute! You will want to bring a set of cookies for folks to eat or sample before swapping. You may also want to bring an extra container to transport the swapped cookies home.
We also plan on having light snacks to combat the glucose!
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
- Best Camouflage (decoration/presentation)
- Most Creative Container
- Highest D/T Combo
- Jasmer-esk Challenge (who brings the oldest recipe- passed down from great great Aunt Gertrude?!)
- Highest Favorite Points
- FTF (eligible if this is your first Holiday Cookie Exchange)
Location is at the Northeast Regional Library in Louisville on Saturday afternoon, December 16th from 2:00-4:00pm. Please note that you do not have to actually bring anything to attend the event. All are welcomed! Hope to see you there!
